Giving Back:

Each year I like to use my kennel to give back to the community. I have done this through participating in the "I-Kid-A-Rod" that gives sled rides to the kids at Shriners Children's Hospital, donating sled rides to the local Rotary for their annual auction  and by visiting schools to teach the kids about sled dogs. I have also enjoyed giving rides to teens in our local youth goup who tend to not feel as accepted as the rest. You should see them start to open up and the smiles that light up their faces. In the summers, I volunteer maintenance at race check points such as Trinity mining camp in the Cascades by painting houses and repairing old, damaged bridges.
