I just wanted to say hi to all from sunny and WINDY Stockett, MT Fall training is going well, with cool mornings and nights for training and warm days for getting the kennel, dog trailer, and truck ready for winter. As I was heading out to the dump yesterday, truck loaded and running, Bella shot gun, I heard the phone ring inside. I had my “dog” boots on so I was trying to decide if it was worth tracking through the kitchen to answer it. (you can guess what I would be tracking) I let the call go, but then it rang again. Fearing something was wrong, I ran in to get it. Did a neighbor need help, was it my family, Rick at work wanting to know how my run went this morning, Sandy from on the road going to see her family? Boy was I surprised to hear Stubbs from KMPS 94.1 from back home in WA on the other end. For those of you who do not know who Stubbs is, Stubbs is the daytime DJ on KMPS. KMPS is Western Washington's largest country radio station. Stubbs has been with KMPS forever and an avid dog lover. STUBBS WAS CALLING ME! After I stopped stuttering she did a sound bite. A friend, Lisa, from the Hansville Transfer Station, (one of the ladies heading up the collection jar for me) had seen her at a recent concert and had told Stubbs about me. She will also be calling throughout the year to check in on fall and winter training, racing, and do some coverage during Iditarod!

Listen to the sound bite!

That’s all I have time for today, but will do my best to get some photos up soon!
